If I could go back in time with what I know now, I would go back to my own childhood and explain to my village those things that I needed to know and how I needed to know them. For me, being a grandmother brings so much more clarity to motherhood than I actually learned as a mother. It has also caused me to look deeper into the lives, motives and decisions of the parents and caregivers who raised my generation. Being the mother of adults, I am afforded the opportunity to see my victories as well as the breaks in my own system. I look forward to telling my stories as well as the stories of people who have shared wisdom with me. I hope that our journey through the yellow brick roads of our lives touch, inspire, educate and entertain you.
